Short version:

I’m a 49 yr. old mother of seven children, five of whom have Cystic Fibrosis. I’m currently doing a little freelance writing, (emphasis on the “free,” unfortunately), and am simultaneously learning how to use all of this gidget, widget, BSS stuff, etc. So, patience, Grasshoppers, I did, after all, take typing when I was in high school. Yeah, computers were for NASA. Anyway, looking forward to being a part of the community, (and this century)!

Longer, more boring, version:

I am the somewhat sane mother of seven children, five of whom have Cystic Fibrosis. Beyond cherished motherhood, I am an avid equestrian and freelance writer. I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and have lived in England and Germany. I have traveled to every state, but Hawaii and Alaska, and have spent time in France and Ireland as well. Before embarking on ten years of pregnancy, my dream was to write and teach professionally. I was fortunate enough to find time, (in spite of my seven dwarf entourage), to teach preschool all the way through college, due to a diverse education and propensity for languages. I briefly did freelance work for a Spanish Catholic magazine but, alas, have stored all the rest of my poetry, stories, and random writings in boxes. (Stay tuned for The Reveal!) In addition to my passion for writing, I began riding horses at the age of three. I have trained and shown horses, participated in both Western and English events, rode lead for a Drill Team, and performed with the Seattle Knights, my specialty being Equestrian Archery. Fitness being a necessary component for chasing after children and expert equestrian skills, I enjoys aerobics, running, and weight training. Staying fit is a priority for me- physically, mentally, and spiritually!
